Now keep in mind, Adam Grant is one of the most privileged people on the face of this earth by virtue of the fact that he appears to be a straight white man. There is no group that is given more grace and has more leverage to use their voice for good than straight white men.

Now, I don't know about you, but here's what I know and understand about being a leader. [00:03:00] Being a leader means that you have a duty to serve those who are in your charge. You have a responsibility to influence those in your circle and use the power and privilege that you have to serve those around you.

To me, it looks like a complete abdication of the responsibility of leadership. It looks like somebody who likes to wear the trappings of leadership without any of the responsibility. [00:04:00] It looks exactly like every other LinkedIn guru who talks about things as if they're an expert, but can't be relied on to execute when the chips are down.

But maybe you could actually unilaterally change the world without having to constantly convince people and beg people and plead with people who are never gonna agree with you through technological means.

The policy positions that he advocates for can't be achieved through democratic means, so there needs to be a manipulation engine put out that can shift public opinion to their favor just enough so that they could take power and implement what they see as the ideal future.

And if you don't understand what Peter Thiel is doing, Peter Thiel is one of the biggest funders, along with the rest of the PayPal mafia, of the current regime that's in charge. And their vision for the future is a future where tech CEOs and oligarchs carve up the world and the country into little fiefdoms and rule over them

And what Adam Grant is talking about is he is advocating for you to disconnect from your responsibility as a leader.

What does that tell you about his leadership philosophy? What does it tell you about his advice on leadership?
