Two examples this week are perfect illustrations of it. On the one hand you have Amazon, you know, Amazon, the company that has addicted us to convenience and is one of the world's biggest polluters, just do a little bit of research and find out what they've actually been doing in the developing world when their inventory gets returned, and you'll get an eye-opener in their business practices.
And on the domestic shores, this is a company that is well known for having one of the worst cultures in the US to the point where it was not unheard of for employees to drop dead on their warehouse floors, and their supervisors were instructing people to continue work that Amazon,
Fast company, talking about [:This is a great example of corporate giants doing whatever they can to whitewash and gaslight you into thinking that they're actually operating for the common good, when in fact they're doing anything and everything they can to do things that are against the general welfare of the average population. That's one level of audacity.
On the other hand, you have Salesforce. Salesforce is a tech giant that has volunteered its AI services to ice, so that ICE can streamline their hiring process. Is that the look that you want to go for? Is that how you protect shareholder value?
By aligning yourself with the modern day Gestapo and make it easier for them to hire thugs that will disappear people off the streets,
ight the general population. [:This should serve as a lesson to all of us that we need to be paying attention and whenever the opportunity arises, we need to hold these companies accountable. Teddy Roosevelt had the right idea where he ran on a platform of busting up big corporations. We need to bring that back and these two companies are perfect examples of companies that are long overdue for a bust up.
